Richard has a successful track record in senior finance and leadership roles in a range of quoted and private companies. Most recently, he led the strategy and ultimate sale of hydro developer Green Highland Renewables. This followed his success in securing around £70 million of funding for the development of the Oyster wave power technology for Aquamarine Power. Prior to joining Aquamarine Power, Richard was Acting Chief Executive at quoted Novera Energy plc where he led the sale of the landfill gas, wind and hydro group. Richard has also held a number of finance director roles in the renewable, oil and gas service, coal and mining sectors with companies including Mining Scotland, Consolidated Supply Management, AIM-listed Anglo Asian Mining plc and Cambrain Mining plc.
Chris Fleming is recognised as a pioneer in the UAV inspection industry. Having personally carried out over 150 live flare inspections to date, he still leads field teams on the most technically challenging projects for Cyberhawk. As an offshore Inspection Engineer, Chris has spent the last 20 years working around the globe in Australia, Norway, the North Sea, the Middle East, Malaysia and Brunei. Prior to joining Cyberhawk, Chris specialised in FPSO operations with his last seven years on the Captain FPSO.
David is an experienced Chief Financial Officer with a background in private equity backed companies, acquisitions, integrations and international expansion. Previously a Finance Director with Maintenance Management Ltd, and with experience working around the globe for companies including Diageo, Kwik-Fit Group and Thomson Reuters, he brings more than 30 years’ experience to the team. David offers a wealth of financial management experience, having worked with both multinational organisations and start-ups, and is an ICAS qualified Chartered Accountant.
Malcolm has over 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry in the field of inspection. Combined with an honours degree in Chemical Engineering, he has a broad perspective on both the access and process issues faced in the oil and gas sector and gives a unique insight into where UAVs can be deployed to the best advantage.
Philip is part of the founding management team and leads Cyberhawk’s global sales and marketing operations. He has built and manages a sales team operating across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the US, which has developed blue-chip customers in more than 20 countries across multiple industries. Philip is a Chartered Engineer, MBA and has researched and published papers on failure mechanisms of composite, concrete and steel structures.
Formerly the CEO of SSE plc, Ian is one of the leading figures in the UK energy sector. His current roles include Chairman at Wood Group plc, Non-Executive Chairman of Infinis plc, former Chairman of Scotland’s 2020 climate delivery group and President of the Energy Institute. Ian is also Chairman of Maggie’s Cancer Charity. A Chartered Accountant, Ian holds a BA in Economics from Durham University and Honorary Doctorates from Strathclyde and Heriot Watt University.
Paul is formerly the Managing Director of Generation at SSE Plc. He is currently non-executive chair of Capstone Power Corporation in Canada, a non executive board member of Scottish Water, a member of the Edinburgh University Business School International Advisory Board, Energy Institute Council Member and also an advisor to the Energy, Infrastructure and Asset Management industries. Paul is a graduate Chemical Engineer from Edinburgh University with an MBA from Henley Management College, and a Fellow of both the Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Energy Institute.
Nick has a 15 year track record in IT and enterprise applications, successfully developing and delivering projects on geospacial data and data visualisation. He has also built applications for a range of banking and telephone companies as well as a mission planning system for NATO. Currently he leads the IT department in Cyberhawk and is responsible for the delivery of our industry leading asset management software, iHawk.
Rodrigo is a Chartered Engineer with over 13 years of experience in the energy market, having previously worked for a major UK utility company. Having started his career in the development of wind energy projects, he has since moved into transmission and distribution inspection and maintenance. Rodrigo has a strong background in maintenance management and condition based maintenance with an insight into the health and safety standards of the industry. He holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering and is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
Patrick has extensive experience in the global oil and gas industry having worked for a number of technology focused service companies in this sector. His multilingual skills and extensive knowledge of the international energy sector put him in a strong position to understand the requirements of Cyberhawk’s global customers. Patrick is passionate about developing compelling inspection solutions that improve safety and deliver real value to our customers. He holds an MEng in Environmental Engineering, a Diploma in Surveying and is fluent in Italian and French.
Patrick brings over 15 years of experience in the global management and leadership in the offshore and onshore oil, gas and petrochemical industries. During this time Patrick has built top performing sales teams and developed new markets in the US, Caribbean, Latin America and Middle East. Having previously worked for traditional inspection companies he has a first-hand understanding of the significant advantages Cyberhawk brings to the industry.
Martin leads Cyberhawk’s Utilities and Rail inspection teams, ensuring all data capture and reporting is completed successfully and to the highest possible standard every time. He has worked closely on iHawk, Cyberhawk’s cloud-based asset management tool throughout its development and leads the operational aspects of the iHawk platform. Martin started working with Cyberhawk in 2013, coming through the Graduate Program and has worked up to the Team Lead role.
With 25 years’ experience working across the UK, USA and Australia, Stuart brings a wealth of knowledge of topographic surveying, 3D visualisation and volumetric analysis to Cyberhawk. He has worked extensively in the renewables, construction and waste management sectors. He leads our team of Land Surveyors and specialises in the acquisition of orthophotos and digital elevation models.
Having served in the Royal Air Force for 15 years as a Electrical and Avionic Systems Technician, working across aircraft such as Typhoon, Tornado F3 and Nimrod MR2, Douglas has extensive technical experience and training. This knowledge is key to the effective management of Cyberhawk’s UAV and vehicle fleet. Through the introduction of a high availability maintenance model utilising corrective, preventative and scheduled maintenance techniques, Douglas ensures we have the tools to get the job done safely, every time.
Iain has over 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, predominantly within subsea inspection. As an offshore Inspection Engineer with a background in mechanical and electrical engineering, Iain was responsible for delivering pipeline inspection solutions worldwide including Middle East, Far East and USA. In his current role as Operations Manager, he is responsible for the overall delivery of Cyberhawk’s inspection services ensuring key personnel and equipment are in the right place at the right time, whilst exceeding customer expectations.
